How can I manage and extend access to my Blueprint MCAT course materials?

Written by Adina Dyer

Managing and Extending Access to Your Blueprint MCAT Course Materials

Blueprint offers a variety of MCAT courses, each with specific access periods and options for managing or extending access. This article provides an overview of how access works, what happens when your course ends, and how to troubleshoot common access issues.

Overview of Access Periods

Access to Blueprint MCAT courses is tied to the duration selected at purchase. For example:

  • Self-Paced Course: Access is available for 3, 6, or 12 months, depending on your selection at checkout. Once the access period ends, you will no longer have access to modules and practice materials unless you purchase an extension.

  • Live Courses: After the live course ends, you can purchase an extension to retain access to live classes or enroll in the Self-Paced Course to continue accessing modules, practice exams, and the Qbank.

Managing Access and Extensions

If your exam date is later than your course access end date, you have several options:

  1. Reset Your Study Plan: Adjust the plan’s end date to match your last day of access.

  2. Purchase an Extension: Extend your access period to cover your exam date.

  3. Manually Adjust Your Study Plan: Drag-and-drop items in your study plan to fit within your access period.

Additionally, access to study materials, including Qbank, Live Groups, modules, exams, recordings, and knowledge checks, remains available until your access period ends.

Upgrading Courses and Access Implications

If you upgrade from the Self-Paced Course to the 515+ Course, your study plan will refresh and reset. However, your original access expiration date will remain unchanged unless you purchase an extension.

Troubleshooting Access Issues

If you encounter issues such as grayed-out modules or prompts to upgrade for full access, ensure that:

  • You have logged in to your account to activate your purchase. Once activated, full access to included course features will become available.

FAQs for Common Scenarios

Will my modules and flashcards reset if I select a new course date?

No, your modules and flashcards will not reset to factory settings. Any work completed across courses will remain intact, even if you reset your study plan. You will also retain access to previous materials, including flashcards and content from your LLJ.

What happens to my textbooks and modules after my course expires?

  • Course Modules: Access ends when your course period expires.

  • MCAT eBook: You own the eBook even after course access expires.
