Core vs. Premium Tutoring: Which Package Is Right for You?

Both packages include a highly qualified tutor. Every Blueprint tutor scores in the 90th percentile or higher on their exam, completes a rigorous audition process, and trains in learning science before working with students. The difference between core and premium comes down to your specific situation, not tutor quality.

Choose a core tutor if:

You're starting your prep for the first time, have a realistic timeline, and need a knowledgeable guide to help you build a study plan, identify weak areas, and stay on track.

Choose a premium tutor if:

Your situation is more complex. Premium tutors have logged the most hours at Blueprint, worked with the widest range of students (with testimonials to show for it), and built up the pattern recognition that comes from seeing more complex cases. They also dedicate more time between sessions to reviewing your account and performance data so each session is built around where you are week to week.

A premium tutor is likely the better fit if you are:

  • Retaking the exam after a previous attempt

  • Working toward a highly competitive target score

  • Missing some of the prerequisite courses the exam assumes

  • A non-traditional student who has been out of academic study for a while

  • Someone who has been studying for a long time without the progress you expected

Still not sure? Our admissions team can help you figure out which package fits your goals.
