Study Hours

Seeing How Many Hours

Blueprint's Med School Study Planner will schedule all of the resources that you select. Blueprint's Med School Study Planner ensures that there are enough tasks to complete your selected resources by your study plan's end dates. To see how many hours you’ll study on an average day, based on the resources you’ve selected and the pace you study at, you can look at the Average Study Hours Per Day on the Study Resource page in the Edit Schedule section.

Increasing Your Hours Per Day

If you want more hours per day, you can add more resources to your plan using the Study Resource page in the Edit Schedule section.

Decreasing Your Hours Per Day

If you want fewer hours per day, the solution is simple: either (1) schedule fewer resources or, if you have flexibility with your exam date, (2) spend more days studying.

To choose the first option, remove a resource from your schedule or deselect a few videos or chapters using the Study Resource page in the Edit Schedule section.

To choose the second option, change your study plan dates using the Study Plan Dates page in the Edit Schedule section.

Setting A Different Number of Hours on Different Days

You can adjust the relative distribution of tasks per day using the Routine function in your Time Off & Workload section.

Your routine allows you to set which days you want to have more or fewer tasks than average. Use this if you have days in your schedule with more or less time available for studying.

Blueprint's Med School Study Planner will always schedule all the resources you've put into a plan, so a normal day is the average workload required to complete all your tasks by the end of your study plan. A light day will have about half as much work as a normal day and a heavy day will have about twice as much work as a normal day.
