When completing Homework problems, you can choose to complete each set in either Question-by-Question Mode or Sprint Mode.

In Question by Question Mode, after completing each question, you'll learn whether you got the question right or wrong, and you'll have access to Blueprint's in-depth explanations. Additionally, you won't see a timer as you complete each question. In Sprint Mode, you'll learn whether you got the question right or wrong, and you'll have access to Blueprint's explanations, only after you've completed the entire set of questions. Additionally, you will see a timer as you complete each question.

When you're starting off, we recommend that you use Question by Question Mode.


If you'd like to turn on the question timer while using Question by Question Mode, or if you'd like to turn off the question timer in Sprint Mode, please see the following:


Turning the Timer On in Question By Question Mode

In Question by Question mode, the timer is automatically turned off.

To turn the timer back on:

  • Go to the Tools button in the top left corner.
  • Click on the Question Timer icon.

Turning Off the Timer in Sprint Mode

When completing homework and practice sets in Sprint Mode, the timer is automatically turned on

To turn the timer off: 

  • Go to the Tools button in the top left corner.
  • Click on the Question Timer icon.

Note: Since drills are a quick review and are meant to be a warm-up, the timer cannot be turned off in drills.
