Managing Your Subscription: Renewal, Cancellation & Upgrades

Subscription renewals, upgrades and cancellations

Automatic Renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (e.g., every 30 days for monthly plans) — no action needed to keep your access active. A reminder email goes out three days before your renewal date so you have time to review or cancel. To avoid being charged for the next cycle, cancel before that date.

Changing or Upgrading Your Plan

Subscriptions are non-transferable, so you can't upgrade or switch plans within an existing subscription. To purchase a different product:

  1. Cancel your current subscription before it renews.

  2. Purchase the new product separately.

Exception: to add a question bank to a course you already have, purchase it as a standalone subscription — no need to cancel your existing plan.

How to Cancel Your Subscription

  1. Log into your account and click My Account.

  2. Click My Subscriptions.

  3. Click the three dots under Actions, then click Cancel Subscription to confirm.

You can check your cancellation status anytime under My Account > My Subscriptions.

What Happens When You Cancel

When you cancel your subscription, you will continue to have access to your account through the remainder of the previously billed cycle. This means that any content will still be accessible to you until the end of the current billing period that you have already paid for. After that period, you will no longer have access to the content. Charges already billed are final — canceling doesn't refund unused time.

Canceling Free Trials

Free trials don't need to be canceled manually. They never convert to a paid subscription unless you explicitly activate one, so you won't be charged after the trial ends.

Renewal Payments

Renewals only happen after a successful payment. If a renewal payment fails after retries, the subscription is canceled — we don't offer holds. If a declined payment later goes through, access typically updates automatically; if there's a delay, you may get temporary access so your studying isn't interrupted.

Refund Policy

Subscription purchases and renewals are non-refundable and final — cancel before your renewal date if you don't want to continue. See the Blueprint refund policy or SMNP refund policy for details.

Reactivating Subscription

If you decide to reactivate your canceled subscription, you can do so by navigating to the "My Subscriptions" section and clicking the "Reactivate" button. If you encounter any issues, contact support for assistance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Will I lose my progress if I cancel or my subscription lapses?
A: No. Your progress, account settings, and saved preferences are never deleted. Resubscribing with the same email picks up right where you left off.

Q: If I remove my payment method, will my subscription automatically cancel?
A: No — You need to cancel your subscription in order to avoid recurring charges. Removing the payment method will not prevent the subscription from renewing.

Q: My subscription was canceled because of a failed payment — what do I do?
A: Repurchase on the website using the same email address; your progress carries over automatically.

Q: Can I use a discount code on my next renewal?
A: Yes — cancel your current subscription, then repurchase with the code applied. This manual step is only needed to apply a new discount, since renewals otherwise happen automatically.

Q: I want a completely fresh start with no saved progress — is that possible?
A: Progress on an existing account can't be reset. To start over, purchase a new subscription under a different email address.
