When you are ready to create a new practice set, click the + Create New Practice Set button.

You will be able to view your current section accuracy and you can base your practice set off of this.

You can choose/filter Recommended types. Our algorithm will identify topics as the best ones for you to study to maximize your growth, based on your work to date. Modify the selection with the dropdown on the right.

Filters

Narrow down the types of questions you would like to practice based on your recommendations.

Filter by subject

Beginning with subject matter, you should first choose the section you want to cover in a practice set. Within each section, there are filters for each type of question and passage. Additionally, there are specific skill filters within each type. For instance, you can select diagramming or causation questions for an LR set. Or, if you want practice with a particular secondary structure, then you can select one or more of those RC filters. Whatever the question, you bet we have a filter for it!

Filter by size

For LR sets, the QBank size corresponds to the number of questions that you want to attempt in a set. For RC, you will select the number of passages you'd like to attempt in a set, and each passage contains 5 to 8 questions.

Mode

Recycle Mode

You'll see the Settings at the bottom of the page. You can choose toggle on Recycle Mode. With Recycle Mode on, you’ll see questions again after working through all that are available for a given topic. Otherwise you’ll only see them once.

Question-by-Question

If you’re just learning the concepts and trying to understand the strategies taught in class or in the video modules, use Question-by-Question mode. This mode allows you to do the practice set one question at a time, checking your answers and reviewing as you go. The Question-by-Question mode is intended for those wanting to improve their accuracy and their approach as they progress through the questions. It will allow you to see which questions you get wrong in real time and be able to review the correct answer and adjust your mindset before attempting the next question. This is extremely useful when practicing the application of strategies as it’ll allow you to make sure you have the best approach and are thinking about questions in the right way.

Test Mode

If, however, you have achieved your accuracy mark, have a solid understanding of strategies and are now working on improving your timing, you should use the Test Mode option instead. Test Mode allows you to do the entire practice set in one shot and then review it once you’ve finished. This mirrors the exam feel and is more conducive to improving your speed.

Choosing between these two modes depends on your goals for each practice set.

Filter by difficulty

For LSAT questions, you can either set a difficulty level (or a range of difficulty levels) or select the adaptive feature. Adaptive difficulty relies on our algorithmic estimation of what difficulty level you most need. Additionally, you can filter by language difficulty. If you feel overwhelmed by language density then this can be a great filter to build your confidence (low) or challenge yourself (high).

Time Setting

If you choose Test Mode, you will have the option to change the time if you were to have any accommodations!
